Self-registration

Enabling registration

Open a bracket and go to the Registration panel. Toggle registration on to generate a public registration link. You can copy this link and share it with participants by email, messaging apps, or on your event page.

While registration is open, anyone with the link can submit their details. Close registration when you have enough participants or the deadline has passed.

Registration form

Participants fill in their name and any other fields you have enabled. The form is accessible without a SportsBracket account, so participants do not need to sign up.

Approving participants

All registrations appear in the Participants tab on the bracket page with a Pending status. Review each registration and click Approve or Reject.

Only approved participants are included when you generate the bracket. Rejected participants are not shown on the bracket and will not receive a confirmation.

Generating the bracket

Once you have approved all participants, close registration and click Generate bracket. The approved participants are seeded into the bracket in the order they appear. You can drag to reorder them before generating.

After generating, the participant list is locked. You can still view registrations but cannot approve new ones without resetting the bracket.
