Events
An event is a hub that groups together brackets, checklists, staff, and areas for a single competition day or tournament. Events are available on the Pro and Club plans.
Pro plan: 1 event. Club plan: unlimited events.
Creating an event
Open the dashboard, go to the Events tab, and click New event. Fill in the name, date, event type (Club, District, National, International), location, and an optional description.
Event page tabs
The event detail page is divided into tabs:
- —Overview — basic details and a summary of linked resources.
- —Checklists — create and link checklists to the event. See Checklists.
- —Setup — manage areas and assign equipment or responsibilities to each area.
- —Staff & areas — invite staff members by email. Staff can view the event dashboard and checklists assigned to them.
Staff
Staff are invited by email from the Staff & areas tab. Each staff member receives an invitation link. Once accepted, they can access the event dashboard and any checklists assigned to their area.
Staff do not need a paid plan — they only need a SportsBracket account. Invited events appear under Events you're staff foron the staff member's dashboard.
Event dashboard (staff view)
The event dashboard at /my-events/[id]/dashboard is designed for use on competition day. It shows the checklists assigned to the logged-in staff member so they can track tasks without accessing the full event settings.
