The competition is open to martial arts dojos from any organization or any other style or branch of martial arts, who wish to fight by the rules of kyokushin karate. I. COMPETITION CATEGORIES A. Every dojo who wishes to participate must send in this deadline, the registration form ( Annex 1 to Official Invitation ) to the contact address: [email removed] To validate the data listed in Registration Form, each representative of registered dojos MUST SUBMIT at the date of the competition, the following documents : - Competitor Agreement for fighters over 18 years (Annex 2 to Official Invitation ). - Parental authorization for fighters under 18 years (Annex 3 to Official Invitation ). - ID or Passport (copy); - Medical certificate * (issued by sports medicine doctor) attesting that the fighter is able to fight in karate kyokushin martial arts competitions; * The documents older than 6 months is not accepted. III. CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE COMPETITION The kumite competition will be held in accordance with the Rules of “Kyokushin Karate IKOKU” (Will be communicated to participant dojo`s, through e-mail) 1. Each dojo is responsible for the protection of their fighters! The entrance into the competition without specific protections for the category, is not allowed! 2. At Cadets, Juniors, Under 21 and Seniors categories, bandaging fists in the first round is not allowed; in the second round bandaging is allowed only with doctor's approval. 3. In the categories in which was enrolled only three competitors, these will fight in tour (one with each other). In case of equality between the three competitors, the first tiebreaker criterion will be the weight (the fighter with the smallest weight, wins), the second criterion being direct fight between competitors. FIGHTING TIMES: CATHEGORY Children under 12 years: 1 min./30 sec. / weighing / 30 sec. - Decision Children 12-13 years : 1 min. 30 sec. / 1 min. / weighing / 1 min. - Decision Cadets 14- 15 years: 2 min. / 1 min. / weighing / 1 min. - Decision Juniors 16- 17 years + Veterans : 2 min. / 2 min. / weighing / 1 min. – Decision Under 21 (18-20 years) : 2 min. / 2 min. / weighing / 1 min. – Decision Seniors: 2 min. / 2 min. /weighing / 2 min. - Decision WEIGHT DIFFERENCES: Children under 13 years (including) – 2 kg; Cadets / juniors – 3 kg; Seniors/Under 21/Veterans – 5 kg. B. KATA : Kata categories have been established only of a higher level of execution for athletes who hold belts from at least 8 kyu and up! With the coaches' agreement, at the kata competition, athletes with lower belts (10, 9 or without kyu) can participate in the higher groups established in the invitation!!! In Kata categories will be awarded two 3rd places!! In Kata groups where is competing less than 8 competitors, there will be only 2 tours (Tour 1 and Tour 3) Evaluation at KATA will be done with teams of 5 referees (1 x center and 4 x corner) TOUR I: Notes from 7.00 to 9.00 TOUR II: Notes from 8.00 to 10.00 TOUR III: will be evaluated with flags. The first and second scores will compete for places 1-2; third and fourth scores will be on 3rd place. Competitors may compete in only one category of Kata.
