Teams consisting of any number of competitors may participate in the Tournament. If there are too few competitors in specific weight categories, there is a possibility of merging with another weight category. Each team must provide at least one referee. There will be on 3 or 4 Tatamis. Trophies and diplomas will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in all categories. There will be no fights for the 3rd place. Each registered team is required to have their own helmets and chest protectors (hogus). Competitors must have their own white cotton shin and instep guards, white cotton fist guards, and groin protectors. In all categories, strikes on the gedan area are allowed. In the age categories 2019 – 2018 and 2017 – 2016 , only the following techniques are allowed to the Jodan area: Mawashi Geri, Uchi Mawashi Geri, and Kake Mawashi Geri, with controlled impact force. In all other categories, all kicking techniques are permitted according to WKO regulations, but with controlled impact force. Individual participants that do not present themselves when called within 1 minute will be disqualified. Required Documents EKO Passport or Budo-Pass. Individual sports-medical examinations.
