TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION Boys 8-9 year Weight categories: -25; -30; -35; +35 kg. Girls 8-9 year Weight categories: -25; -30; +30 kg. Boys 10-11 year Weight categories: -30; -35; -40; -45; +45 kg. Girls 10-11 year Weight categories: -30; -35; -40; +40 kg. Boys 12-13 year Weight categories: -40; -45; -50; -55; +55 kg. Girls 12-13 year Weight categories: -40; -45; -50; +50 kg. Boys 14-15 year Weight categories -45; -50; -55; -60; -65; +65 kg. Girls 14-15 year Weight categories: -45; -50; -55; -60; +60 kg. Competition organizing committee has the right to adjust published categories after registration. 3. Categories, rules: General: it is a tournament for children, no fullcontact kicks/hits to the head are allowed Categories 8-9 year; 10-11 year; 12-13 year. ALLOWED: All hits to the hull, kicks to the legs. Kicks to the head with control . ALLOWED TECHNIC TO THE HEAD: mawashi- geri; uchi mawashi- geri; kake-geri Protection: White hands, legs protection, groin protection, protective body vests (onlyorganizers ), helmets (with grill or plastic grill; protective glass), knee protection optional. Time: 8-9 year; 10-11 year -> 1,5 min. + 1 min. ; 12-13 year -> 1,5 min.+ 1,5 min. Categories 14-15 year; 16-17 year; ALLOWED: All hits to the hull, kicks to the legs. Allowed all technic kicks to the head. Protection: Categories 14-15 year white hands, legs protection, groin protection, helmets (with grill or plastic grill; protective glass). Time: 14-15 year -> 2 min. + 1,5 min. 16-17 year -> 2 min.+ 2 min General rules for referees and judges: Most important is to protect the healthiness of participants. The organizer will divide participants in suitable weight classes. Fair judging, clear signs and decisions are required in the spirit of Budo. To avoid injuries for participants, all fouls has to be stopped and punished by chui/genten/chikkaku. 4. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS Accommodation, tickets, transportation and meals for all participants shall be covered individually or by club. Awards: all participants will be awarded with special medals. Winners will be awarded with special medals and certificates. The cups only for 14-15 year and 16-17 year. Participation fee: 40 EUR 5. PARTICIPATION REQUIRMENTS Completed application including doctor’s visas. A written approval from legal guardian for all miniors. 1st KIGAI CUP 2026 Parents approval An athlete who does not have doctor’s permission or the consent of parents (guardians) to participate in the competition will be disqualified. If on the day of the competition the weight of athlete (with kimono, legs protection) exceeds the category norm of 2kg, the athlete will also be disqualified.
