Memorial Cup OBJECTIVE OF COMPETITIONS: · Strengthening of friendly relations between sportsmen · Popularization and promotion of healthy lifestyle and sports · Popularization and promotion of martial arts and Kyokushinkai in Latvia · Identification of strongest sportsmen among children RULES Fights will be held according to rules of EKO PARTICIPANTS OF COMPETITIONS: Kumite: As decided by Championship organizer, the categories can be combined. A Category 6kyu and higher Belts B Category 0-7kyu Competitions will be held on 3 tatamis. KATA Competition: U-8 to U-12 participants will compete in following- KATA’s: Taikyoku 1,2,3. For the 1st place- pinan sono ichi. U-14 participants will compete in following- KATA’s: Taikyoku 1,2,3, pinan sono ichi. For the 1st place- pinan sono ni U-16 participants will compete in following- KATA’s: Pinan 2,3. For the 1st place- pinan 4,5. Juniors participants will compete in following- KATA’s: Pinan 2,3,4. For the 1st place- pinan 5, tcukino, yantsu. * Participation fee is 30 EUR. Kata and kumite 45 EUR. COMPETITION RULES Each sportsman should wear white dogi, belt corresponding to their qualification, personal protective pads and shield under kimono, chest protector for female sportsmen to be worn under kimono to not to cover solar plexus. Soft hand protection of white color, head protection and chest guard. The competitions are held in accordance with EKO rules. From 12 – 14 - 1,30 minute of main time. From U-16 - Juniors, 2 minutes of main time Adults 3 minutes of main time. AWARDS FOR WINNERS 1st place - cup, medal, and certificate 2nd place - medal and certificate 3rd place - medal and certificate SPECIAL AWARDS 1. 1 - cup, the best technique 2. 1 - cup, short fight 3. 1 - cup, kyokushin spirit Each club will be competing for the Grand Prix - big “Memorial Cup”. Which club will take most points will be the winner. The point count will be as follows: 1st place- 3 points, 2nd place – 2 points, 3rd place -1 point. Judges Team will be formed at place.
